Big Island police on Wednesday released results from autopsies conducted on visitors who died in waters off the Kohala Coast during June.

Sokoon Yo, 71, of Flower Mound, Texas, died from asphyxia due to near drowning, according to the Hawaii Police Department. Yu was snorkeling with a tour group when she was found unresponsive June 26 in waters along the Kohala Coast.

Paul S. Tsang, 53, of San Francisco, died from cardiac arrest and not from drowning, according to police. Tsang was found unresponsive after going snorkeling June 13 in waters off South Kohala.
